ROMANCE

We hide secrets deep inside
riding the night
shapeshfters at the light
when our dreams
fades with the dawn.
Can't you see
the bound of our souls
captured eternally?
I wait to kiss you
with a certain kiss
the sacred and the profane
entwined.
No one will love you the way I do.
I want to hold you
I want to touch  you
I want to catch you when you fall
I want to feel you deep inside.

Meat Loaf - Rock´N´Roll Dreams Come Through

...I treasure your love

I never want to lose it

You've been through the fires of hell, and I know you've got the ashes to prove it

I treasure your love

I want to show you how to use it
You've been through a lot of pain in the dirt, and I know you've got the scars to prove it...

FOREVER IS NOT JUST A WORD

Every now and then I get tired
of the sound of my tears falling.
The feeling of emptyness
choke my heart
and my soul is screming for you.

I become little bit restelss
when my dreams don't feel right
and like a little child
I crave for your arms
but finding the void left
by the dream of you
and I fall apart.

My love for you is a shadow
where I really want to get lost
you, my sweetest torment
I really need you now
more than ever
to have you forever.

NÄIN UNTA

Every night I was looking at the moon
and talk to her wishing my soul will find finally its double
and the immense feeling of loneliness
was washed away.
Somewhere you were waiting to hold me,
looking at the same moon
wishing the same and the tears went dry
I held on to that little sparkle of hope
and the fullmoon cuddled me with its soft wind.

I remeber the dream where we held each other hands
and you told me
don't look back or everything will vanished”
I believed you but the fear was bigger
I looked and you vanished away
no one of my screams was heard
but I've lost everything and my moon went black.

So I started to look at the stars.
I remember the walk I used to take to the hill,
I ran at the higher point
thinking I was nearer to the sky
wishing at the shooting stars,
thinking the sky was crying with me
Knowing you were doing the same somewhere
with no memory of me in any way.
I hope your wishes came true

because mine, betrayed me.
I am still waiting to hold you.

Now our sky is the same
the stars are gone in those summer nights
which never are dark.
I saw you
not a dream anymore
but still not mine.
I succombed at the fear
and now I have been punished
to be only a shadow in your dreams.

I still love you and always will
and you still don't know I exist.
It's easier to live alone
than fear that dream will never comeback.
If only I haven't look behind.

The Premiere

Hallo at all!
As promised  here the post about the premiere.

I left Hämeenlinna at 14.00 and arrived in Turku at 16.15.

I met fisrt Marja and then Heikki Savola, the director of Robustos.

When the ceremony has started I was quite excited and I was surpraised and happy when, during his speech, Heikki Savola has quoted a line of one of my poems. I didn't expect such thing.

After the speech we have red the introduction poem. Each poet in own language, and the finnsh poets that have been translated us the finnish version.

The whole cerymony was about one hour and half and after this we all went to eat in a loveley and good Italian Restaurant called LA TRATTORIA ROMANA.

With this happening the journey ended.
We have worked together 4 years and all the experiences that I have had are treassures and I will never forget.
When I moved to Finland in 2003 I couldn't imagine that my poems will end published in here in 2015 in finnish language.
Before Finland I have written only for few friends, I was too shy, too unsure ...and now I have red in front of people in festivals and happenings, and I know now more than never before, what I really want to to in my life. Write, write and write...I want to get lost in the arms of the inspirations and listening to the voice of my Muse and wondering...

Thank you to all those who believed and support me from the beginning.

Thank you to Marja, Tommi, Esa, Juha Timo, Terhi, Marja Lisa, Danilll and all those that I can't remember the name but have been important too for the achievment of this project.
And of course, a big thank you to the city of Turku.

I will miss the meetings at Kirja Talo and I will miss all my collegues and friends.
Just don't forget each others.  We have started a path which now is taking many different directions and I know we will cross each other paths now and then again.

THANK YOU!

NEWS

Hallo Everybody!
A little update for you all.
I just cameback from my holiday in UK and a day in London was too less.

Those who know me since my very first years, know also that London is my second city. England is my second land.  I was happy to go back there after so many years; London was waiting me..bigger than the last time, but still my London. London is London. While I was walking through Piccadilly , memories cameback to me like neither a day have been passed since 2002.
All the pubs with jazz music , a dream in my heart to have one day a reading in one of these places.
The Phantom of the Opera still going on in many theatres: an opera that I want to see  one day and many memories were still waiting me there...at the entrance of the metro to Soho...vivid as never before.

Well I will not wait other 10 years to go back in there, this is sure.

The week in UK was not only London. I met my relatives  and I have been with my mum and everyday was an emotional one.

Now I am back in Finland, and the news is that the poetry anthology of Runokohtauksia is out, published by Robustos.
With the project Runokohtaus we will have the premiere night this week 11.6.2015 at the Main library in Turku at 17.00, so welcome to hear us all.

There are 10 my poems in the anthology, translated by the finnish poet Tommi Parkko. All the poems are only in finnish beside one: the intro poem, which is both in finnish and italian.

HERE YOU CAN BUY THE ANTHOLOGY

Next update will be after the premiere.

INTERCOURSE

I penetrate your soul
bleeding through your dreams
soothe your wounds
shattering your broken wings.
And then
I ride your soul
until you'll screming lust
gasping in the emptyness
kissing the void left
before disappearing
in the mist of a dream unfinished.

MUSING

Be like the stone
but be also like the water
which run over the stone
without feeling it
as an obstacle
and remember
the water always flow
to join the river.

The sky is  weeping.

OMEN

You walk away from the pain
you left behind
but without me
you loose your way.

Come, come to me
take my hand and believe.
No time to think
no time to keep
you can't pretend
That I don't exist.

Distances are what
make souls ramble
and hearts humble.

I am in your blood
I am under your skin
your soul is mine
like mine is yours.

We walk along
through those parallel worlds
You are the one
I have been searching for so long
You are my sweetest poison
the eternal temptation.

THE SCARLET WOMAN

Once upon a time I found myself with no memories of the past or plans for the fuure in a place beyond recall. A woman stood in front of me: she was dressed in a scarlet hood which covered her face and I could see only her lips which were scarlet as well, on her skin were marks that I didn't understand and so, as I have always done, I gave them no importance.
She asked me if I wanted to listen to a story, and with no other option available to me at that time, I said yes, and she started her song:

She looked like an angel
but her wings were
one attached to heaven
and the other to hell
She was Innocent and naive
and believed in everything.

He was the sun
shining upon her
charming her with a liquor
he used to called love.
Shadows started to creep
into the mirror that once
reflected the image of a dream
and the wine in the grail
became too sour to drink.
He was a fiery tiger
and she became
the easy prey of that heartless hunter.
She made herself prettier
so she could still be his baby
covering the scars and the marks
with astonishing make up
but it wasn't enough.
She was dying alone
in that golden cage
he had built for her
Her verses became the silent scream
of a soul that slowly stepped
into the path of an announced death.

The scarlet woman paused and only at that point did I notice that she had the grail in one hand and the sword in the other and she continued to sing

Do you understand who I really am?
I have had many names but nowadays
I go with the one that made me best known
I carry in this grail
the abomination and the despair
of those lost souls
that have fallen from grace
calling themselves masters
saviours, keepers.
My consort is Chaos
a beast known for his many tails
I am indeed, Babalon The Great!

Then she poured that wine of astonishment into my glass
and I was left sadly wondering.

(*Quote: Babalon, not to be confused with Babylon, also known as theScarlet Woman,Great Mother or Mother of Abominations, is a goddess found in the mystical system of Thelema, which was established in 1904 with English author and occultist Aleister Crowley's writing of The Book of the Law (although the name Babalon does not occur in that text). In her most abstract form, she represents the female sexual impulse and the liberated woman...)

©It is my own interpretation of this Biblical, and pagan figure.

PS: this prosa /poetry I have prepared for the International women's day- This year theme was " we fight against the violence on women"
I red it the first time, at the International Women's day  on saturday 7.3.2014, at Kumppanuustalo in Hämeenlinna.

MEMOIR

Here is a new poem.
It is in Finnish language, the original in italian language you find in HERE in italian

**

Näin Sinut liikkumattomana
patsaana upoksissa
syvyyden sitomana
ajan mustaan nesteeseen vajonneena.

Katsoin sinua, kutsuin sinua
sieluni alkoi huutaa hiljaa
nuoli iskeytyi hauraaseen sydämeeni
tunkeutui kyynelehtivän sieluni lihaan.

Rakastavaiset, ikuisuudessa
kahlaavat karkulaiset
kuin aaveet antiikkisissa mausoleumeissa
yhä kuolemattomina palvottuina.

Unien varjot
soljuvat muistoihin
joista ei koskaan mainittu
edes Atlantiksen rannoilla.

Hukassa, eksyneenä
ajan hiekkaan hautautuneena
ikuisuuden kudosta kehräten
paluutasi odottaen.

Minä
unohdettu Penelope.
Sinä
tuntematon Odysseus.

PRINCE LESTAT -Anne Rice-

Review: Diana Mistera

When Anne Rice announced the publication of a new chaper of the Vampire Chronicles, with my beloved Lestat as the main character I was over the moon with happiness, and, as soon as it was possible, I pre-ordered it on amazon.
I didn't know what to expect, and I didn't want to read reviews about the book, because I didn't want to spoil the pleasure of reading it for myself. Sometimes it was frustrating, because I follow Anne Rice's official page on Facebook and I always like to comment on her posts, but I couldn't until I had finished the book.
Now that I have finished it I can say I loved it very much.
There were points at which I had to try to remember what had happened in Interview with the Vampire, Queen of the Damned, and Memnoch the devil, because it's a long time since I read them so, my advice for the new Anne Rice's “fledglings” is to read Vampires Chronicle before Prince Lestat, otherwise it will be difficult to understand many of the characters, their past, how they have been brought to the Dark Gift.
Indeed the first pages immediately introduce the reader to the Blood Genesis, and after that there is the Blood Argot and I found this a great way to start the book, because it explains the history of the Blood and the terminology of the Blood, so I felt like a “fledgling”myself.
The list of the names at the end of the book is a good idea. It is a sort of hierarchy, and I got the idea of a sort of Census, and it was brilliant, because we are talking about Prince Lestat, and the first thing that a Prince will do, at the dawn of a new Empire will in fact be a Census.
As for the Queen of the Damned, in Prince Lestat, every chapter is a different voice, so we are introduced in the new Millenia, to every single vampire, and we get to know what they have done, and what they are doing in this new era, and it's very interesting if we think in terms of the fact that there are vampires that are more than 2000 years old.
There are new immortals which we haven't heard about before and there is that Voice which pierces itself into the mind of the Immortals driving them crazy, and pushing the extermination of the young ones by the fire gift.
There is our beloved Brat Price, who is living the life of a hermit in his old castle, the very one where he was living when he was a young penniless aristocrat, before he was raped by his Maker Magnus, and forced to the Dark Gift.
He is the one who Benji, a young one in the blood, is a 12 year old boy, who sounds far more adult than a teenager, in my opinion, and he is appealing from his radio Network, set in the Trinity Palace,to Lestat, to save the tribe from the extermination that this Voice is planning because, Lestat is The Rockstar who challenged the Old ones from his rock music video to come out, make themselves known to humans, and stop hiding in the darkness, the One who awakened the Queen from her silent sleep, Lestat, is their Prince without any doubt .
The new Millennia is the era of science and new discoveries, so we find Fareed , a youg doctor, brought to the blood by Seth, son of Akasha. They both try to study the nature of the vampires from a scentific point of view.
In every single chapter of the book we see the evolution of the story itself, every single immortal is struggling with their own selves, with different issues, and it is just the Voice that makes that struggle even deeper, especially in Lestat.
I have found the Voice fascinating , for me it resembles the Universal Conscience which each and every one of us has to deal with sometimes: who are we? Where do we come from? Why are we made like this? The Voice is an entity which is eager to learn, to see and feel, but it can't do it, because it is trapped in a body that has no interest in evolution itself, so it has to find a way to reach its ends using whatever it can to get what it wants and I ended up loving it.
Another character that I loved is Louis, I have always loved him, but in this book more so and then there is the sweet Rose, the icon of Innocence, rescued by Lestat during an Earthquake in the Mediterranean sea, his beloved one after Louis. Rose as innocent as a fragile flower, and like every innocent, victim of unspeakable violence.
This book more than any others, left me with a longing for more, I felt a terrible void when I turned the last page, a common feeling I guess, when you have lived alongside every single character during the reading, like part of the vampires tribe.
The writing style, is typical of Anne Rice, it gives you pictures that become alive in your head, and it is just this, that make her books always magical, and what else can a reader ask for?
Now I just have to wait for the sequel, to see, if my intuition has got the right clues about the future of Prince Lestat's reign.

CAST AWAY- revisited 14.12.14-

There are doors
that can't be closed at night
and balances
that can't be broken at daylight
and there is
the stillness of some days
an heavy load to carry
even if I was a giant.
You are there, you always have been there
your shadow follow
and in silence you wait.
I was sure I did let you go
I thought
you have setted me free
and by my will
I followed you once again.
There is not a victory or a defeat
Love is, what make the heart bleed.
You are playing around once again
while I am torn between halos and demons
lost in words with criptic meanings.
If only I could dare...but
I turn my eyes and walk away,
crying in the cold winter rain
singing in silence my ode to the pain.

...Every time I need to touch you
I can never break the distance
that's why my love
became so strong and pure
that's why I keep on trying ..
